Bug reports help improve BackroomsMMO when they give staff enough reliable information to reproduce, verify, and fix a real defect. A report can earn Honour only after the bug is verified and subsequently fixed.
What to include
- a concise description of the expected and actual behaviour;
- reproducible steps, including the relevant level, activity, server, or character state;
- the approximate time and game version when available;
- screenshots, video, logs, or other original evidence that does not expose private information; and
- any safe workaround already tested.
Security vulnerabilities and active exploits must be sent through the official private security-reporting channel. Do not publish exploit steps, credentials, private logs, or another player's personal information on the wiki.
Duplicates and useful contributions
An already-known duplicate does not normally earn Honour. A report about the same bug can qualify when it adds a distinct reproduction, identifies the cause, proves a wider impact, or supplies evidence that materially helps produce the fix. Spam and copycat reports do not count.
Submitting a report, having it triaged, or seeing it closed without a fix does not award Honour. Good-faith mistakes are not malicious, but knowingly fabricated reports or manipulated evidence can lower Honour.
Character assignment
If a character is selected when an account-level bug report is submitted, any later Honour reward is locked to that character. If no character was selected, an eligible reward is held after the fix until the player makes a one-time choice of receiving character. Applied report Honour cannot be moved between characters.
