Service notice
Privacy
The BackroomsMMO Wiki processes the minimum account, contribution, security, and moderation data needed to operate a public knowledge base safely.
Information we process
- BackroomsMMO identity: immutable account subject, verified email, username, and administration claim supplied during SSO.
- Recovery identity: the local recovery-root account is stored separately and is never linked through SSO.
- Contributions: revisions, summaries, comments, uploads, source notes, privilege requests, and moderation decisions.
- Security records: IP addresses, user agents, timestamps, authentication results, rate-limit events, and bounded device-risk signals.
- Operational records: audit trails, notifications, API-key metadata, and API request logs. Raw API keys are never stored.
Why we process it
We use this information to authenticate users, publish and attribute contributions, approve granular privileges, protect official pages, prevent abuse, investigate security incidents, and maintain the service.
Public information
Published revisions, usernames, edit summaries, approved media, and public profile details may be visible to everyone. Draft pages remain visible only to their owner and staff until publication.
Retention and account closure
Revision and moderation records may be retained to preserve attribution, integrity, and abuse evidence. Account closure anonymises the user record where appropriate without rewriting public page history.
Cookies
The wiki uses essential cookies for sessions, CSRF protection, and your cookie preference. It does not ship with third-party advertising trackers.
